The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas in January 2010 compared with that in January 2009) was 6,2% at January 2010. This rate was 0,1 of a percentage point lower than the corresponding annual rate of 6,3% in December 2009 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in December 2009 compared with that in December 2008).

From December 2009 to January 2010 the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas increased by 0,3 of a percentage point.
