The headline inflation rate in December 2009 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in December 2009 compared with that at December 2008) was 6,3%

The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas in December 2009 compared with that in December 2008) was 6,3% at December 2009. This rate was 0,5 of a  percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of 5,8% in November 2009 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in November 2009 compared with that in November 2008).

From November 2009 to December 2009 the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas increased by 0,3 of a percentage point.
