The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas in June 2009 compared with that in June 2008) was 6,9% at June 2009. This rate was 1,1 percentage points lower than the corresponding annual rate of 8,0% in May 2009 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in May 2009 compared with that in May 2008).

From May 2009 to June 2009 the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas increased by 0,4%.
