The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas in April 2009 compared with that in April 2008) was 8,4% at April 2009. This rate was 0,1 of a percentage point lower than the corresponding annual rate of 8,5% in March 2009 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in March 2009 compared with that in March 2008).

From March 2009 to April 2009 the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas increase by 0,5%.
