The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas in March 2009 compared with that in March 2008) was 8,5% at March 2009. This rate was 0,1 of a percentage point lower than the corresponding annual rate of 8,6% in February 2009 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas in February 2009 compared with that in February 2008).

From February 2009 to March 2009 the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas increase by 1,3%.
