The official inflation rate (i.e. the percentage change in the CPI for all urban areas at February 2009 compared with that at February 2008) was 8,6% at February 2009. This rate was 0,5 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of 8,1% at January 2009 (i.e. the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas at January 2009 compared with that at January 2008).

From January 2009 to February 2009 the Consumer Price Index for all urban areas increase by 1,2%.
