Key findings: P0044 - Quarterly financial statistics (QFS), September 2005

The total turnover of all industries for the third quarter of 2005 was estimated at R812 258 million, an increase of 5,1% compared with the second quarter of 2005 (R772 521 million). Between the second quarter of 2005 and the third quarter of 2005, turnover increased in all the industries covered in the survey. The largest increase of 8,0% was recorded for trade, followed by manufacturing (+5,5%), community, social and personal services (excluding government institutions) (+5,1%), transport, storage and communication (+2,6%), construction (+1,8%), real estate and other business services (excluding financial intermediation and insurance) (+1,2%) and mining and quarrying (+0,7%).
