Key findings: P0043 - Statistics of Liquidations and insolvencies, February 2019
The total number of liquidations recorded decreased by 12,6% (21 fewer cases) in February 2019 compared with February 2018. Liquidations of companies decreased by 16 cases, while liquidations of close corporations decreased by 5 cases. There was an increase of 5,2% in the three months ended February 2019 compared with the three months ended February 2018.
The number of insolvencies estimated increased by 20,3% in January 2019 compared with January 2018. A 38,3% decrease was estimated in the three months ended January 2019 compared with the three months ended January 2018. Seasonally adjusted insolvencies decreased by 6,3% in January 2019 compared with December 2018. This followed month-on-month changes of -10,6% in December 2018 and -0,7% in November 2018.
