Key findings: P0043 - Statistics of Liquidations and insolvencies, June 2021
The total number of liquidations
decreased by 1,5% year-on-year in June 2021. Liquidations of companies
decreased by 12 cases, while liquidations of close corporations increased by 10
cases during this period.
The total number of liquidations increased by 46,2% in the second quarter of 2021 compared with the second quarter of 2020. An increase of 30,7% was recorded in the first six months of 2021 compared with the first six months of 2020.
The estimated number of insolvencies
decreased by 42,9% in May 2021 compared with May 2020. A 45,5% decrease was
estimated in the first five months of 2021 compared with the first five months
of 2020.
Seasonally adjusted insolvencies increased by 31,8% in May 2021 compared with April 2021. This followed month-on-month changes of -79,4% in April 2021 and 18,9% in March 2021.
