Key findings: P0043 - Statistics of Liquidations and insolvencies, July 2017

The total number of liquidations reflected a year-on-year decrease of 30,8% in July 2017. Voluntary liquidations decreased by 42 cases and compulsory liquidations decreased by 15 cases. There was a decrease of 16,1% in the three months ended July 2017 compared with the three months ended July 2016. The total number of liquidations recorded for the first seven months of 2017 decreased by 11,9% compared with the first seven months of 2016.

A year-on-year increase of 18,4% was estimated in June 2017. A decrease of 6,0% was estimated in the second quarter of 2017 compared with the second quarter of 2016. The estimated number of insolvencies for the first six months of 2017 showed a decrease of 11,9% compared with the same period in 2016. Seasonally adjusted insolvencies increased by 15,8% in June 2017 compared with May 2017. This followed month-on-month changes of -1,5% in May 2017 and 19,9% in April 2017.
