Key findings: P0043 - Statistics of Liquidations and insolvencies, August 2008
The total number of liquidations recorded for the eight months ended August 2008 increased by 4,0% (from 1 958 to 2 037) when compared with the eight months ended August 2007. However, the total number of liquidations recorded for August 2008 decreased by 26,4% (from 387 to 285) when compared with August 2007.
The total number of insolvencies recorded for July 2008 increased by 18,9% (from 169 to 201) when compared with July 2007. Furthermore, the total number of insolvencies recorded for the seven months ended July 2008 increased by 40,1% (from 1 071 to 1 501) compared with the seven months ended July 2007.
