Key findings: P0043 - Statistics of Liquidations and insolvencies, December 2007
The total number of liquidations recorded for the year 2007 increased by 4,1% (from 3 026 to 3 151) when compared with 2006. This is the first increase reported since 2003. During 2003 the number of liquidations increased by 4,5% compared with 2002. However, the total number of liquidations recorded for December 2007 decreased by 22,6% (from 266 to 206) compared with December 2006.
The total number of insolvencies recorded for the eleven months ended November 2007 decreased by 4,4% (from 1 509 to 1 442) compared with the eleven months ended November 2006. Furthermore, the total number of insolvencies recorded for November 2007 decreased by 18,0% (from 150 to 123) when compared with November 2006.
