This discussion
document presents the results of South Africa’s first set of land and
terrestrial ecosystem accounts. Land and terrestrial ecosystem accounts form
part of Natural Capital Accounting (NCA). This is the first land and
terrestrial ecosystem accounts discussion document compiled by Statistics South
Africa (Stats SA) and the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI).
