Publication description:
Completeness of birth registration is the measure of the extent of which births occurring in a country are registered by the civil registration system each year. It is defined as the proportion of vital events (births or deaths) recorded by the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system during a reference time out of the total events estimated to have occurred in the study population over the same period.
