City of Tshwane

The City of Tshwane is the capital of South Africa and is the largest municipality, as measured by land mass. Tshwane is amongst the six largestmetropolitan municipalities in South Africa and the second largest in Gauteng, as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The Tshwane regioncovers 6 368km� of Gauteng�s 19 055km� and houses approximately 2,9million residents.Tshwane consists of seven regions with 105 wards and 210 councillors.

The City has a vibrant and diverse economy, which enables it to contribute at least 26,8% of the Gauteng Province�s GDP and 9,4% of the GDP of the national economy.� Tshwane is the administrative capital of South Africa and is home to the Union Buildings with government-related business playing an important role in the local economy.� As a result, the city is taking active measures to firmly position itself as Africa's leading capital city of excellence.� The municipality's main economic sectors are community services and government, followed by finance and manufacturing.� Metal products, machinery and household products are the largest sub-sectors within manufacturing.� The City has a well-established manufacturing sector, with the automotive industry representing the most significant component.

Mkhambathini

Mkhambathini Local Municipality is located along the south-eastern boundary of the uMgungundlovu District Municipality and adjoins the Richmond and Msunduzi municipalities to the west, uMshwathi to the north and the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality to the east. The municipal offices are located in the town of Camperdown. Mkhambathini has several comparative advantages emanating from its location near Durban and Pietermaritzburg and adjoining Cato Ridge, which is an industrial node. The N3 runs east-west through the central part of the municipal area and that stretch of the highway has been identified in the Spatial Growth and Development Strategy as a Provincial Corridor (uMgungundlovu District Municipality IDP 2012/13).read more »

Polokwane

Polokwane Municipality is situated in the central part of the Limpopo Province. The municipality shares the name with the biggest town in Limpopo called Polokwane. Locally it shares borders with three other local municipalities within Capricorn District as well as local municipalities in Mopani and Waterberg Districts. It is the largest metropolitan complex in the north and a major economic centre with 38 wards. Its proximity to the neighboring countries of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland makes it a perfect gateway to Africa and an attractive tourist destination. Ephraim Mogale

Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality, formerly known as Greater Marble Hall Local Municipality is a local municipality (category B4) within the Sekhukhune District Municipality, in Limpopo. The municipality�s new name was adopted in January 2010 with a new slogan that says �Rehlabolla setshaba�, meaning �We develop our people�. The municipality is named after the struggle hero Ephraim Mogale. The municipality borders Makuduthamaga Local Municipality in the south, Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality in the east, Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality in Capricorn District, Mookgopong Local Municipality in Waterberg and Mpumalanga�s Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality. It is situated about 150 km from Polokwane, 100 km from Mokopane, 145 km from Pretoria, and 250 km from Mbombela. The municipality is the second smallest of the five local municipalities in the district, constituting 14,4% of the area with 1�911,07 square kilometres of the district�s 13�264 square kilometres.
