Ga-Segonyana
Ga-Segonyana Municipality is a former cross-boundary municipality with areas in the Northern Cape and North West. The municipal jurisdiction consists of 33 residential areas within a radius of approximately 80 km in and around Kuruman, and has approximately 75 000 residents. The municipality’s economy is mainly based on the surrounding mining and agricultural activities.
The municipal seat, Kuruman, is situated on the Namaquari route, forming part of the main route between Gauteng and Namibia and Cape Town via Upington. The name Ga-Segonyana means a small calabash with bubbling water.

Witzenberg Local Municipality is located within the Cape Winelands District Municipality in the Western Cape province and is classified as a Category B municipality. It is responsible for basic service provision to the demarcated municipal area that includes the towns of Ceres, Tulbagh, Prince Alfred's Hamlet, Wolseley and Op-die-Berg.
Rural areas within the municipal boundary are Warm Bokkeveld, Koue Bokkeveld, Agter-Witzenberg and the northern portion of Breede River Valley (Het Land van Waveren). The municipality is situated about 150km north-east of Cape Town. The region is surrounded by three mountain ranges: the Obiqua mountains to the west, the Winterhoek mountains to the north and the Witzenberg range to the east.

It is responsible for basic service provision to the towns of Calitzdorp, Ladismith, Van Wyksdorp, Zoar, as well as the surrounding farming communities. Kannaland is situated about 340km north east of Cape Town, along the famous tourism Route 62. It is linked by tarred main roads to all other major centres such as Oudtshoorn (100km), Montagu (139km), George (160km), Mossel Bay (185km) and Port Elizabeth (420km).
