Maphumulo is situated on the R74 Road from Stanger to Kranskop.The Maphumulo Local Municipality is classified as a Category B Municipality according to the Municipal Structures, 1998 (Act No. 117 of 1998). It comprises of mostly rural areas governed by Traditional Authorities. Maphumulo Municipality possesses a lot of untapped cultural/eco-tourism potential due its cultural background and natural heritage. Ba-Phalaborwa

Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality is a Category B municipality found in the Mopani District in the Limpopo province. It is situated in the north-eastern part of Mopani, less than 1 km from the Kruger National Park border. It includes the towns of Phalaborwa, Namakgale, Lulekani and Gravelotte, and is surrounded by the five Traditional Authorities of Makhushane, Majeje, Mashishimale, Maseke and Seloane. 95% of the population resides within a 15 km radius of Phalaborwa Town. Lepele-Nkumpi

The name is derived from two rivers, namely the Lepelle and Nkumpi rivers, Lepelle being the bigger of the two. Lepelle-Nkumpi is situated 45 km of Polokwane, and is largely rural with 29 wards.
