Ulundi

The Ulundi Local Municipality is located in north-eastern KwaZulu-Natal. It covers anarea ofapproximately 3 250 km².It includes the traditional authorities of Buthelezi, Hlatswayo, Jama, LukwaziNtuli, Mbatha, Mpungose, Ndebele, Ntombele, Usustu, Ximba, and Zondo. Approximately half of the municipal area consists of commercial farms and the area supports a substantial agricultural community.

Ulundi town represents the only urban area in the municipal area, and therefore plays an important role in the provision of social and economic facilities to the total population of Ulundi. This places enormous pressure on the urban area for the delivery of services. A significant number of households in the rural area are headed by females, who are usually more disadvantaged in terms of resources and education.

Ba-Phalaborwa

Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality is a Category B municipality found in the Mopani District in the Limpopo province. It is situated in the north-eastern part of Mopani, less than 1 km from the Kruger National Park border. It includes the towns of Phalaborwa, Namakgale, Lulekani and Gravelotte, and is surrounded by the five Traditional Authorities of Makhushane, Majeje, Mashishimale, Maseke and Seloane. 95% of the population resides within a 15 km radius of Phalaborwa Town. It is 220 km from Polokwane and Nelspruit, and serves as a central gateway to the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park through the Giriyondoborder post. Thabazimbi

Thabazimbi Municipality is located in the south-western part of the Limpopo Province and has Botswana as its international neighbour. It is two hours drive from the City of Tshwane. The municipality has Marakele National Park, which is a subsidiary of the National Parks Board, and in the same standard as the Kruger National Park and Mapungube. Mookgopong

Mookgophong is a charming and thriving town in the Waterberg encircled by peaceful nature reserves and steaming hot springs. The Bushveld climate and attractive resorts in the area attract holidaymakers all year round. Mookgophong (previously known as Naboomspruit) dates back to the late 1800's when it was a rest station for the Pretoria-Polokwane mail coach. Although the little village eventually developed around the railway station on the farm Naboomspruit, Mookgophong owes its growth largely to the discovery of minerals in the area in the early 1900's. The discovery of tin led to a "tin rush" in 1910 and turned this little village into a boom town of restaurants, cabarets and trading stores.
