Greater Kokstad

The Greater Kokstad Municipality is one of the municipalities of the Sisonke District Municipality. It lies on the south-west tip of KwaZulu-Natal and is bordered by Matatiele Local Municipality on the west, Lesotho and part of the Eastern Cape on the north-west.The Greater Kokstad Municipality covers a land area of approximately 2�682 km� and shares its borders with KwaSani, Matatiele, Umziwabantu local municipalities, and the KwaZulu-Natal enclosed portion of the Eastern Cape. It is one of the five municipalities that make up the Sisonke District Municipality. Ubuhlebezwe

Ubuhlebezwe is one of five local municipalities that constitute the Sisonke District. It is located along the eastern boundary of the Sisonke District Municipality. It borders onto the Ingwe, Richmond, Vulamehlo, Umzumbe and UMzimkhulu local municipalities. It covers an area of approximately1�604 km�.

Umzimkhulu

Umzimkhulu is a local municipality in KwaZulu-Natal. It is one of the family of five local municipalities (Ubuhlebezwe, Ingwe, KwaSani and Kokstad) of the Sisonke District Municipality. The district neighbours Ugu District in the east, Msunduzi in the north, Lesotho in the east and Eastern Cape in the south. Umzimkhulu is the most populated of the Sisonke municipalities. The municipal area consists of 20 wards, and traditional areas comprise 46% of the region. The total land area covered by Umzimkhulu is 2�436 km�

Newcastle

Newcastle Municipality falls within Amajuba District in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Located in the north-west corner of province, the municipality shares its northern border with the province of Mpumalanga and its western border with the province of Free State. The municipality consists of 31 electoral wards, and covers an area of 1 855 km2 (Wikipedia) The municipality is predominantly urban (70,8%), with a large majority of the urban population living in the towns of Newcastle, Madadeni and Osizweni.read more »
