Kekana Garden is possibly named after Chief Johannes Jane Tane Kekana of the Lebelo clan of the Ndebele, who died on the farm Leeukraal, north of Hammanskraal in 1887. (GPS coordinates: 25.3731 S, 28.3065 E).
