Important Notice: Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) collects administrative information on liquidations from Companies and Intellectual Property Commission, Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, while information on insolvencies is gathered from Notices of the Master of the High Court that appear in the Government Gazette. Owing to a cyber attack on the Department of Justice, source information on insolvencies is not yet available for September 2021 in the forthcoming statistical release, which is scheduled for Monday, 22 November 2021. A new publication date for the insolvencies data will be announced as soon as possible. Stats SA apologises to users for the inconvenience of the delay.
